Three Dudes Modified - Rob Appell

Three Dudes Modified is very basic construction, yet has a very dramatic finish in just a few hours of piecing. Rob started with a 2 ½” pre-cut pack of batiks and another pack of 1 ½” solid black strips. That’s all he needed to create this quilt top, which includes borders. To recreate Rob’s look, he recommends finding a strip pack that offers two of each color in the pack, but just about anything will work. Rob use a solid black for the 1 ½” strips, but just about anything will work for these as well. You’ll strip piece the sets, make blocks, them make new blocks, and before you know it, the whole quilt top will be dancing in front of your eyes.
