Love Your Featherweight Class - Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023 with Kathy Farra

We all LOVE our Featherweights!

In this machine maintenance workshop, "Machine Lady" Kathy Farra will teach you the proper methods for cleaning, oiling, and performing basic maintenance on your Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine in order to preserve and protect it. While learning and performing this maintenance, Kathy will also educate you regarding the history of these wonderful machines and how to keep them in wonderful working condition for many years to come.

This is not a repair class and machines brought to class must be fully functional, have a power cord, bobbin case, and bobbin.

About Kathy...
Kathy Farra has been sewing and quilting most of her life. She has always been very mechanical and has a love for antique sewing machines. It is her desire to share her passion for keeping these vintage machines operational by teaching others how to properly care for their Featherweight sewing machine. Kathy is a graduate of Grove City College and worked in the computer industry for 25 years. In 2016, Kathy studied sewing machine repair for fun and has since become a Singer Featherweight specialist. Since 2016, Machine Lady, LLC has been vending at quilt shows and Kathy has been sharing her knowledge of machine maintenance by teaching classes for quilt shops and guilds all across the East Coast.
